Businesses say they need workers. Some have resorted to desperate measures in recent months only to hire additional help. But if so, why don’t some places hire someone to help those who haven’t worked yet? We have heard some of the horrific stories of employees who have to work long hours and consecutive shifts without breaks, and sometimes have to do everything under deplorable conditions. These employees feel not only understaffed, but also underestimated.

A staff member at a fast food restaurant had had enough. And they even took the time to write a goodbye note to potential clients as they left their shifts. Stories like these are increasingly common across the country. This note was posted on the restaurant’s drive-thru speaker for everyone to read. It almost reminds you of a scene from the movie Half cooked.

A journalist from WHAT said part of the note read “There is an infestation of rats, that they are not paid enough and that there are violations of the health code.” The Clark County (IN) Department of Health told the affiliate they would investigate the allegations, although they said they have had issues with this particular restaurant in the past. The department did not go into detail on these previous issues, but it will be interesting to see what emerges from all of this.

Do you remember this story perhaps in September? A Walmart employee had gotten it and decided to announce his loving farewell over the store’s speakers for all to hear. They even posted their memorable resignation on social media for everyone to enjoy, although, of course, it could just hinder their future job search. See the video HERE. She then questions the attendance policy, while claiming that she and other employees are mistreated every day by management and customers. She even says her bosses tell her and other workers that they can all be replaced if they don’t like her. Wow, if that was true, this doesn’t seem like a great place to work.
